Ripple Crochet Blanket

"Perfect as a Project Linus blanket"
Crocheted in one piece with knitting worsted weight yarn.

With A, ch 153.
Base Row: Dc in 3rd ch from hook, dc in next 4 ch, * skip 2 ch, dc in next 4 ch, ch2, dc in next 4 ch, rep from * to last 6 ch, skip 2 ch, dc in next 3 ch, 2 dc in last ch, turn.

One Row Pattern: Ch3 (counts as dc), dc in first st, dc in next 3 sts, *skip next 2 sts, dc in next 3 sts, {dc, ch 2, dc} in next ch2sp, dc in nest 3 sts, rep from * to last 6 sts, skip next 2 sts, dc in nest 3 sts, 2 dc in top of beg ch3, turn.

Solid Colour Blanket Option: Repeat the one row pattern until work measures 116cm (45").  Fasten off.  Finish with fringes (as described below).

Shaded 3 Colour Blanket Option: Repeat one row pattern, until work measures 9 cm (3½in.) from beginning.  ** Break A.  Join B.  With B, repeat one row pattern for 9 cm (3½in.).  Break B.  Join C.  With C, repeat one row pattern for 9 cm (3½in.).  Break C.  Join A.  With A, repeat one row pattern for 9 cm (3½in.). **

Repeat from ** to ** 3 times more.  13 stripes.  Fasten off.

To Finish: Make fringe as follows.   With A, cut strands 20.5 cm (8 in.) long.   Hold 4 strands for one knot of fringe together and fold in half.  With crochet hook, put folded end through tips of peaks from right side to wrong side.  Pulls ends through folded yarn and tighten. Trim evenly.
